“I truly loved the entire experience.”

“Going away somewhere beautiful with beautiful people where you don’t have to think about anything and can just focus on feeling and being in the moment is a true gift to yourself. I am so glad I chose to attend and grateful to you girls who put so much thought into what was included.

You struck the perfect balance of opt-in activities and downtime. The yoga was next level nourishing, the food was too, as well as being incredibly delicious.

Above all I think it was the connections we all made with each other that left me literally speechless when it came time to say goodbye.”

  • As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, she has a wide variety of experience working with people 1-on-1; her specialities include back and hip pain, recovery and addiction, anxiety and depression, pregnancy and post-natal.

Her love for functional anatomy came later on, through healing injuries and her mentorship with Tiffany Cruikshank. Her teaching weaves together her two passions – intelligent anatomical sequencing and wisdom drawn from philosophy – to create classes with a three dimensional focus on health and wellness.

Born in Israel and raised in New Jersey, she has found her true home in Lennox Head, Australia, where she is the owner of Lennox Yoga & Wellness Centre.

Dee Walker

Dee Walker is the founder of Lennox Yoga. Yoga has been part of my life for over 28 years. Growing up in Ballina in the northern rivers of NSW I have always felt a deep connection with nature. If I’m not in the yoga studio you can find me submerged in the magical waters of the ocean.

  • I began a physical practice of yoga to compliment my sporting career in Sydney in 1995 and very quickly started seeing the benefits this practice both on and off the field. This led me to deeper self-inquiry and also to look at the traditions of yoga and why it made me feel as good as it did.

I pushed my body to its physical limits over the years. Sport was my life and my true love became endurance events, marathons, iron man triathlon, open water swimming – always amazed at what my physical body was capable of if I could get out of my head and connect with my breath.

Over the years my love of travel, yoga and a curious mind took me on many adventures around the world.

I completed my first yoga teacher training in Boulder Colorado in the USA with Core Power yoga in 2005 and went on to teach and work at a beautiful little studio in Aspen. This experience solidified my love of all thing’s yoga, during this time it became very clear to me that it was my calling to share the gifts of yoga with others. I continued my education, teaching and work in the yoga industry in Edinburgh UK. During this period I Spent 3 months in Spain gaining a deeper understanding of the human body by becoming a certified “Master personal trainer” with the Australian Institute of Fitness. I returned to Australia in 2010 with my wonderful husband to start a family.

With toddler and new borne in tow in 2012 I completed my 200hour teacher training with Power living yoga in Bondi Junction Sydney, began teaching wherever and whenever I possibly could. Small group classes, large gym classes, outdoor classes and for power living themselves. Late in 2015 my family and I relocated back to Lennox Head where the dream of opening a studio began……..

It was on trip to the north of India 2019 sitting by the Saraswathi River. I had a clear vision of the space I needed to create, to connect and grow for the community of Lennox Head and beyond.

I simply want to share my knowledge and the teachings of yoga to help others connect to themselves, to one another and to nature. To share the joys that yoga has brought to my life with others. I’m a smiley joyful, compassionate sharer!
