Yoga Medicine® Shoulder Immersion

25 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

14-17 August 2025 | Anatomy, Dysfunction, & Application

About this training

Advance your understanding of shoulder structure, anatomy and function, and learn to utilize yoga therapeutically to support healthy ROM, posture, and more.

Led by Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist Rachel Land, this 25-hr in person training takes a deeper look at the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder joint as a basis for learning to effectively evaluate and work with a variety of ailments, including stiffness, impingement, frozen shoulder, tendonitis, forward-head posture and more.

We’lll cover practical principles and work for the shoulders to decrease patterns contributing to tension and pain, and increase freedom of movement. Expect insights and applications you can immediately put to use, as well as a subtler understanding of how breath, posture and even emotional state affect this area of the body.

If you’re a teacher dedicated to a higher standard of learning and looking to develop an extensive knowledge of the shoulder joint that you can immediately apply to both your teaching and personal practice, this training is for you!

Who is this for?

Teachers dedicated to a higher standard of learning looking to deepen their knowledge. Shoulder awareness and stability are required by so many foundational yoga poses like plank, chaturanga and downward dog, but these are not skills our students develop in daily life. Learning more about these lesser-known joints and how to use them effectively is a vital skill for yoga teachers.

The Yoga Medicine® Shoulder Immersion Yoga Teacher Training is a 25-hour advanced in person training for yoga teachers, physicians, healthcare providers and fitness instructors with yoga experience who are interested in learning more about this invaluable curriculum.

To fully benefit from this training, we recommend that anyone considering enrollment is actively working with students and clients within a yoga or therapeutic setting.
