Restore: Yin & Myofascial Release

100 Hour Training with Dana Diament & Amelia Schrader

About

We are excited to announce a training that combines the science, wisdom and practice of two key modalities for restoring the body and mind: yin yoga & myofascial release.

These practices have a profound impact on all systems of the body from muscles and connective tissue, to the nervous system and immune system, breathing, and more; if you’re looking for tools and information, whether for yourself or your students and clients, to positively influence how you feel from the inside out, keep reading to learn more about this training.

We have purposely chosen to strongly emphasise the practice component which makes up nearly half of the training. This gives you the opportunity to embody the teachings in order to enhance both your delivery of your own classes and practice as well as your understanding of the theory. The classes are themed to include western approaches, evidenced based perspectives and eastern philosophy. To further deepen your understanding of the material, dedicated sequencing sessions review each practice so you can learn the what, why, and how of each class.

Our theory component covers a range of topics including: anatomy to set the foundations; a comprehensive understanding of fascia and how the techniques impact and benefit this important layer of the body; the nervous system and the respiratory system so you can understand how to create meaningful classes or get more out of your own practice; techniques and postures for both yin yoga and myofascial release. Please see below for our full curriculum.

At the end of this training, you will be ready to run restore classes in both modalities or a combination of both, and have the tools to help address the modern day concerns of stress, pain, anxiety, tension in the body, poor posture, limited mobility, fatigue and poor sleep or recovery. We’ll also focus on breath work, meditation and mindfulness, teaching you how to implement these into your yin & myofascial release classes as well as unpack the why behind these beneficial complementary techniques.

Yin & Myofacial Release are great adjuncts to vinyasa and power yoga as well as fitness training. These modalities are also a worthy offering all on their own for those drawn to the slower, introspective styles of movement.
