Yoga Medicine® 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

About

We are ecstatic to offer the Yoga Medicine® 200 Hour Teacher Training program in 2021. This is the first time the Yoga Medicine® foundational yoga teacher training program will be held entirely in Australia, and we are pleased to offer this training in a special hybrid format of in-person and online formats spread over four months. This training will be led by Lennox Yoga founder and director Dana Diament, E-RYT 500 and Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, along with Yoga Medicine® 1000 Hour Certified and Therapeutic Specialist Rachel Land, Yoga Medicine® 500 Hour instructors Amelia Schrader and Laura Gonzales.

The Yoga Medicine® 200HR yoga teacher training program provides a solid foundation to teach yoga and deepen your own personal practice. The focus of this 200HR yoga teacher training is to provide you with a sound knowledge of anatomy, alignment and assisting. You will be trained to deliver a purposeful group class, interweaving the physical and philosophical components of the practice. This foundation will serve as a powerful base from which to teach and guide your students through a practice that educates, inspires and heals.

The structure of our 200HR yoga teacher training allows for greater flexibility by providing a powerful community experience during our in-person sessions as well as offering online content both pre-recorded and live stream, making this program more accessible to complete within your existing lifestyle. We pride ourselves in bringing the content alive through yoga practices, lectures, practice teaching, small group mentorship and review sessions along the way to reinforce the information.

At the end of the program, you will come away with a strong foundation in the technical, inspirational and business side of yoga to create an exceptional yoga teacher and prepare you to begin teaching right away.

Dana Diament
E-RYT 500, Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist

Dana Diament is the founder of Lennox Yoga and has a passion for education. She has a strong interest in anatomy and physiology and aims to inspire students to use yoga as medicine by incorporating both eastern and western perspectives in her teaching.

As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, she has a wide variety of experience working with people 1-on-1; her specialities include back and hip pain, recovery and addiction, anxiety and depression, pregnancy and post-natal.

Dana has helped 400 people become yoga teachers, personally mentored over 100 new yoga teachers, and taught on teacher training programs in Hawaii, Mexico, Thailand, Napa, San Francisco, and San Diego for Yoga Medicine and in Byron Bay for Creature Yoga.

Her online classes are available on Yoga Medicine Online, and she is a contributor to Well Being’s Yoga Experience, Yoga Journal, Yoga Digest and Wild magazine.

Dana came to yoga as a teenager and developed a regular practice initially for the mental and emotional benefits she experienced of finding clarity, gaining confidence, and connecting to a peaceful place within. Her love for functional anatomy came later on, through healing injuries and her mentorship with Tiffany Cruikshank. Her teaching weaves together her two passions – intelligent anatomical sequencing and wisdom drawn from philosophy – to create classes with a three dimensional focus on health and wellness.

Dana has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University and an associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Parson’s University in New York. Born in Israel and raised in New Jersey, she has found her true home in Lennox Head, Australia, where she is the owner of Lennox Yoga & Wellness Centre.

Rachel Land
E-RYT 500, Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist

Rachel Land is a yoga teacher, educator, teacher trainer and writer based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Her approach blends traditional yoga practices with extensive study in anatomy, physiology, sports training and therapeutics.

Rachel’s fascination lies in fusing research and tradition together to create a practice that supports and empowers each individual. Her strength is her capacity to bring theory to life, making complex topics in the yoga and wellness sphere feel simple and accessible. She carefully curates her classes, workshops and lectures to give her students the resources they need to live their best life and her fellow teachers the tools to understand the why and how that make their classes more potent and powerful. Rachel is a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, E-RYT500, YACEP and a proud member of the Yoga Medicine®® teaching team. Deeply grateful to have benefitted from years of personal mentoring by Tiffany Cruikshank, she now runs workshops and anatomy trainings around the world, regularly contributes to other teacher trainings, and co-teaches some of the Yoga Medicine® 500hr orthopedic modules.

Growing up with parents as bodyworkers lead to a particular interest in fascial science, contributing to her specialty in orthopedics, pain and myofascial release. She was the first Yoga Medicine® teacher to complete the 1000hr teacher training, examining yoga therapeutics and myofascial release to improve standing stability in older adults.

It’s clear to all her students that Rachel loves what she does and is passionate about empowering others to become their own teacher and wellness advocate. With that aim, she contributes regularly to online platforms including Yoga International, Yoga Journal, Yoga Digest, YogaBasics and Healthline.
