“I love the Restore training!

Dana and Amelia communicate such easily digestible, thorough teachings across the lectures, classes, sequence reviews and pose libraries.

I found the latter exceptionally useful as I began to teach Yin classes. The libraries are an easy way to review the poses – modifications, options and nuances around teaching them.

The sequence reviews are equally helpful when understanding the why behind sequencing, creating links between outcomes and lessons, and intelligently combining all the information into a practical application. The ability to learn at your own pace through a clear online setting was also a huge advantage.

It has also had a valuable impact on my teaching overall and self practice.”

AMANDA BEST, YOGA TEACHER, BRISBANE

“Coming from a dance background, the awareness of the body and intelligent practice was important for me. We could sit and listen to Amelia all day, but we also were able to practice and embody the theory which I loved.

Amelia, being so authentic, always encouraged us to bring our own self to it and do it in our own way.

Not just be a carbon copy of her.”

“This training is so amazing. The lectures, the practices, the sequence reviews are next level.

It’s taken my teaching to the next level, too with my students noticing and commenting how much they love my classes now.

I really love how they’ve taken each pose and broken it down, and you can revisit it at any time. I’ve been able to fit it into my schedule so easily, and then apply it and fit it into my teaching and classes straight away.

I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re considering this course, stop considering…Do it!

Dana Diament

E-RYT 500, Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist

Dana Diament is the co-founder of Lennox Yoga and has a passion for education. She has a strong interest in anatomy and physiology and aims to inspire students to use yoga as medicine by incorporating both eastern and western perspectives in her teaching.

  • Hi! I’m Dana, and I’ve been practicing yoga for 22 years and teaching for 11 years.

Early in my yoga journey, I was a sensation junkie – I wanted to feel as much as possible in every pose, all the time. Combined with a work hard, play hard lifestyle soon enough I found myself burned out and dealing with herniated disc, debilitating SI joint pain, and tendonitis in my adductors and hamstrings.

Through this period of injuries, I discovered the regenerative practices of breath, mindfulness, yin yoga and myofascial release. Around the same time, I started learning about fascia, the missing piece of the anatomy puzzle. The science and knowledge I gained through my study inspired my very own paradigm shift of “less is more.” In the last 11 years, I’ve completed over 800 hours of training, helped 450 people become yoga teachers, personally mentored over 100 new yoga teachers, and taught on teacher training programs all over the world. As a registered Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, I’ve worked with a wide variety of people 1-on-1 with specialities in back and hip pain, recovery and addiction, anxiety and depression, pregnancy and post-natal.

I’m here today to share with you the wisdom and tools from both east and west in order to thrive in a fast-paced lifestyle and find well being from the inside out.

  • As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, she has a wide variety of experience working with people 1-on-1; her specialities include back and hip pain, recovery and addiction, anxiety and depression, pregnancy and post-natal.

Dana has helped 450 people become yoga teachers, personally mentored over 100 new yoga teachers, and taught on teacher training programs all over the globe.

Her online classes are available on Yoga Medicine Online. She is the editor of Well Being Yoga Experience and has contributed to Yoga Journal, Yoga Digest and Wild magazine.

Dana came to yoga as a teenager and developed a regular practice initially for the mental and emotional benefits she experienced of finding clarity, gaining confidence, and connecting to a peaceful place within. Her love for functional anatomy came later on, through healing injuries and her mentorship with Tiffany Cruikshank. Her teaching weaves together her two passions – intelligent anatomical sequencing and wisdom drawn from philosophy – to create classes with a three dimensional focus on health and wellness.

Dana has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University and an associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Parson’s University in New York. Born in Israel and raised in New Jersey, she has found her true home in Lennox Head, Australia, where she is the owner of Lennox Yoga & Wellness Centre.

Amelia Schrader

Yoga Medicine® 500 Hour In-Progress

Amelia Schrader, founder of Axis Yoga, is a teacher at heart, yoga educator, anatomy nerd, passionate about mindful movement, conscious living and loves sharing all of this with her students.

  • Hi! I’m Amelia Schrader, and I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for 10 years.

I come from a competitive background of gymnastics, sport aerobics and athletics and I brought this competitive nature with myself into my practice.

When I began I always wanted to take each posture further, deeper and challenge myself, which led to wrist pain and tendonitis, SI joint pain and bicep tendonitis. While these injuries highlighted that my approach was not healthy or balanced, they also became the catalyst for me to apply my knowledge from my bachelor of health science degree and dive into more study of anatomy, fascia, joint health and the science of movement. This knowledge helped me heal my injuries, support my nervous system and create a sustainable practice.

Through classes, workshops and countless teacher trainings I began passing on the techniques and methods that changed everything for me. These experiences have shaped the way I teach and have become an important pillar in the teacher trainings I’ve run over the past 8 years. One of the things I love most about teaching is sharing this knowledge with others and seeing them overcome injuries, address pain and tension in their bodies and find practices that reduce the detrimental effects of stress on their nervous system.

  • Amelia has been practicing yoga for the last 14 years and teaching for 9 years and continues to evolve her practice teaching evolve through time on the mat, studying under world renowned teachers and learning from her students. Amelia has a Health Science background and is fascinated by anatomy and intentional breath, movement and mindfulness practices. She is passionate about integrating more strength and stability into the yoga practice, sharing intelligently sequenced classes, injury prevention practices and teaching her students how to create a practice that is sustainable and therapeutic. Amelia’s classes will help you unlock your potential, encourage you to play and explore new and creative ways to move, breathe and connect to yourself.

“Dana is incredibly skilled at simplifying complex material into digestible and memorable portions.

She helped me to own my knowledge of anatomy so that I was engaged – and therefore engaging – when teaching anatomy.

I appreciate Dana’s clear and straight manner, which comes packaged in a light-hearted humour and generous nature.”
